mSmokeCounter
I have an issue with myself which I am not pleased with – the amount of cigarettes that I smoke every day. I searched the AppStore for something which would satisfy my needs – keep track of how many I was smoking each day. Since I always have my iPhone on me, it was only natural to quickly launch an app and tap a buttom to record that I am smoking at that instant. At the end of the day I was quite shocked at how many I actually managed to inhale into my lungs.
I have so far managed to cut back on my smoking to 6 to 10 a day, which is less than 50% of what I did initially. Just checking your count status from time to time (and the time difference between your last cigarette) will help you keep control of this nasty habit.
Feel free to browse the application in the AppStore via this link: mSmokeCounter in the AppStore
This application is an excercise in iPhone programming to which I am new. I will however be developing it until stated otherwise. There are many pending updates already including statistics and fully rewritten and optimized code.

Have you thought of integrating a calendar? That at the end of each day stores the previous days count and auto resets. This would allow the user to keep track and chart progress. Just a thought.
Yes I am planning this along with a few other updates, meanwhile two other apps are stuck in the approval process and Apple is seriously slowing me down. Thanks for the tip – I was contemplating solving this in another manner, however your idea seems cleaner.
